"I bought this kit along with the super hard on clone to fit in one of my guitars as I was a huge Muse fan at the time. Combined with Bareknuckle Mississippi Queens the sound is spot on and you can copy Matt Bellamy to your hearts content. Filthy Bits

"Wow! About 50% of the tone combinations will squeal, but dial in the right settings and you can get sustained germanium fuzz down to 8-bit sounding break up with the gate turned up. This thing buzzes!" Greg - 23 July 2021

As good as original

"I have to say this product is amazing works fantastic and sounds great. I had alot of troubling getting it right due to my own errors but the support was amazing and helped me finish the board. I intend to put this straight into a guitar once ive done the woodwork. Better than Life

A pedal with Skronkitude.

"I'm an idiot. So i didn't hold out much hope for anything other than a mess to while away the dead hours with some solder and a dangerously hot tool. A couple of hours later i was testing a thing what i had built with my own naked hands and creating monstrous cacophony. After housing it in its enclosure I tested it again and lay a sobbing pile upon the hard concrete floor of the studio as my creation had died. After the mist had lifted I took it out and put it back in again. GLORY! IT WORKS! I then lost a day playing with it, getting to know its quirks. The quality of the fuzz was like a warm green velvet bath of smiling frowns. Little tweaking made howl, sputter, the volume pot oscillated sending thrillwaves through my tiny molecules. All of a shiver i found the comp and gate would shut the sound up at a crisp halt as soon as muted, no clutter just gone. I searched for fester upon the knobs and found turgid crunch, claustrophobic sqweels. What joy, what foul hellish flames i could hear flickering around my notes SUDDENLY bass synth came surging from the turn of of the compression knob. That night i lay exhausted, spent. My mind was nothing but a dull thrum. All i could think was. "I need more. What can i sell to get more?"" Fingersound Skronk - 03 November 2014

Taco Fry Fuzz

"Excellent value and very professional. The finished pedal offers many hours of not-so-innocent pleasure when built. I recommend buying the case. It's tight in there but it all fits and I couldn't make a box that good. The board worked first time when trialled without the switch. However, I spent some time with the meter trying to get it to work in the box with the wired switch etc until I realised that I had transposed the input and output leads from the board when I wired the switch!" Fizz Fuctery

"Second kit i've had from Poodle (see also fuzz face review)... I completed this very recently in a matter of hours. I've never used a Zvex nor had I heard the possible sounds so I didn't know what to expect, but true to the claims, this little kit recreates all the sounds that are available from the real deal. Excellent fuzz parameters coupled with all those controllable synthesised squeals and howls. Very highly recommended kit and for the price (especially considering that the position of the pre-drilled holes are crucial for fitting all components neatly inside), the box is an absolute godsend... F zz F actory

"Another great kit. Superb quality PCB, good parts and instructions. Follow Mr. Poodles advice, and do not socket the transistors - I socketed mine, and could not get the lid on the enclosure as they sat too high off the board. Fortunately the board is top quality, so the extra heating involved in removing the sockets and soldering the transistors back in place caused no problems. I opted for a pre-drilled enclosure, and again the drilling was accurate and very well done. I can't recommend these kits highly enough." Mark - 01 March 2012
