Univox Square Wave Fuzz

Yet another box of gnarly 70's face-ripping fuzz. This lovely little beast's distortion control determines how much un-fuzzed signal gets through, which gives a huge range of tone, from thick-ass growl to cat-bothering fuzz.

Each transistor gets its own biasing trim-pot for super-acurate setup.

Board-mounted pots for minimal wiring and easy enclosure mounting.

If you want the PCB without parts there's a link for that at the bottom of the page.

Partial kit: PCB, all board-mounted components, pots.

Full kit: As above, plus footswitch and appropriate daughterboard/components for your selected bypass type (see Downloads section for details of those), jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, hook-up wire, LED.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is available as an option with full kits, and can take a battery if desired with footswitch positioned 22mm higher, closer to the controls. Knobs are not included.

Square Wave Fuzz 5 product stars
"Great sounding fuzz pedal. Depending on the internal trimmers setting, I can get splattery, 8-bit sounds on single notes and then huge wall of fuzz on chords. Simple enough to assemble, but the trim pots are a little awkward to adjust from the back of the pedal. Not too much volume on tap; with the volume knob maxxed, I am at unity-gain." awkbinoc - 16 November 2021
