Instant Spacemen 3! Just add fuzz and wah.

Quirky little box of fun. The original was a box that plugged straight into the guitar jack socket. Sound? A reverse-sawtooth tremolo-type affair. Very choppy.

Stock, it cuts the signal completely between 'beats', giving the percussion effect the name suggests. This version has an optional depth knob to tame that chop and give a wider range of effect. It has also been updated for more output, and has an internal volume trimmer to set it to unity (or over, or under, as you wish).

Also added is a switch to change the speed range available. At higher speeds it sounds almost ring-mod-ish. Also included is an extra input capacitor so you can go with the original thin tone or a normal, full range tone.

Kit comes with a tested 2N2646 (the UJT transistor that does the magic).

Full kit: As above, plus footswitch and appropriate daughterboard/components for your selected bypass type (see Downloads section for details of those), jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, hook-up wire, LED.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is available as an option with full kits, and will not take a battery. Knobs are not included.

A WINNER!!!
"The Repeater is a very special treat! I first heard one of these in an old Vox guitar and had that that s how Spacemen 3 got that sound! moment. Fast forward to building this kit and holy cow! I chose the smaller cap for the trebly original sound and am very glad I did. It really nails what I remember the guitar sounding like in terms of adding an almost synthy resonance and the improved noise floor, blend and internal controls make for a surprisingly useful little machine. Especially recommend for people who enjoy a bit of solo guitar noodling and aren t afraid to put themselves into a deep trance. This is no mere tremolo - this is a pulsating psychedelic voyage to inner space. This was the 4th FD kit I ve built and like all of them it was a straightforward process. The clear, if minimal, instructions and lovely little boards made for pedals that all worked the first time around, are quiet, well behaved and, most importantly, sound great! Better than the real thing
"Always loved the sound of the Vox Repeat Percussion so this was an obvious choice for my first kit build. Improves on the original with a change in one capacitor value that doesn't thin out the sound so much and adds a very useful depth control.
