Peachy Fuzz

Fancy a massive tube-like fuzz with a fat, clear bottom end and lots of healthy mids? Here you go.

A great design that's a break from the norm, getting all the fuzz from pushing ICs to the max rather than using cipping diodes.

Responds well to playing dynamics and guitar volume, and will give you a huge range of tone from valve break-up to all-out lead filth.

The kit is supplied with vertical-mount pots which have round shafts, so you'll need set-screw fitting knobs.

Partial kit: PCB, all board-mounted components, pots.

Full kit: As above, plus footswitch and appropriate daughterboard/components for your selected bypass type (see Downloads section for details of those), jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, hook-up wire, LED.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is available as an option with full kits, and can take a battery if desired with footswitch positioned 22mm higher, closer to the controls. Knobs are not included.

Builds are only available with full kits including enclosures. Please choose appropriate knobs.

Such a great Fuzz from such a simple build
"Pretty huge and epic fuzz from a small parts count. Fran clearly knew what she was doing! Cleans up nice on the guitar volume too. Has some Muff characteristics but EQ'd better and more variety. Would be a great one for a first or second build." Dave Stevens - 16 September 2022

A beast in disguise!
"Don't (I repeat, DO NOT) even think about this circuit as "another fuzz...". This little thing is monstruous! It's a different approach to fuzz. By this I don't mean it in bad way, because it certainly isn't. I mean it circuit wise, this little gem uses 3 IC's, no trannies, no diodes for clipping, just pure IC clipping. And it does so GOOD at it. I mean, it clean up very well with your volume - doesn't quite 100% clean, still remaining that little push like a amp in the verge of breakup - and sounds beatiful. Then, turning the gain up you go from smooth fuzz goodness to freakin' madness, "loving the smell of napalm in the morning" kind of thing. Superb tones for sludge/doom - I kid you not, I was amazed! One of THE BEST fuzz I ever played, hands down. And believe me, I've played and built quite a few of them. EVERY fuzz lover should try this one.
