Lovely Squeezer Compressor

Ultra-subtle compression - you won't know its on until you turn it off!

Rather than squashing your signal or pumping it up unnaturally, the Lovely Squeezer boosts the signal where you need it - adding dB to low-level signals while leaving higher levels untouched.

Available with through hole FET, or save a quid and go with SMT if you're confident dealing with tiny components.

The kit is supplied with vertical-mount pots which have round shafts, so you'll need set-screw fitting knobs.

Partial kit: PCB, all board-mounted components, pots.

Full kit: As above, plus footswitch and appropriate daughterboard/components for your selected bypass type (see Downloads section for details of those), jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, hook-up wire, LED.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is available as an option with full kits, and will not take a battery. Knobs are not included.

Compressor for Bass
"I built this compressor for using with my bass and found it a bit fuzzy on the low strings. A quick search on the internet and I found this page. There is an investigation and cure for this problem. Subtle, smooth, and as good as the circuit it's based on
"I tried the pedal this is based on a few years ago when I was starting out my foray into the world of pedals, and due to my untrained ear, I couldn't tell what it was doing (read: no noise, no tonal change, and a subtle effect that wasn't super-squishy). Fast forward to now, and I've had a Dynacomp and currently an Empress, and I always wanted to go back and try out the LS again now that I knew what to look for in a compressor. I've been putting together a board for my acoustic guitar, and decided to get a compressor for it. Enter this kit, which I hoped would give me a great compressor at a fraction of the cost of the original. Simple build, and sounds just like the original. Noise free and transparent, but now that I know what I'm looking for, does the job of a compressor without any fuss, and squishy enough for pretty much any use when the compression is maxed. Unity volume is around 12 o'clock, so plenty of headroom if you want to use it as a boost. Great kit, great pedal. If you're on the fence then go for it, you won't be disappointed." as good as the original
"Right after ordering the kit, I got an original Luv Sqzr at a quite fair pricetag - so I could compare the twins. The fuzzdog holds its own ground. It is as good, if not even more subtle and musical sounding. Maybe because the original one uses SMD? No clue. It does really sound as good as... To be honest I expected it to be even more subtle, something I d barely hear. The compression effect is clearly audible - but no pumping or in yer face squashing here. Nice one. Excellent Product, Great Service
"I desired subtle compression while playing live, but I really didn't want to shell out $200 for a good boutique pedal. So I decided to look into DIY.
