The Gimp - Filthy Fack with added OOMPH!

Who doesn't love the Filthy Fack!? Five knobs of germanium fuzz fun.

Now let's take that one step further and add a few tweaks to make it a whole lot more useful and, well... fun.

First tweak is a Girth control, which will give you a variable version of the Fat knob on the Filthy Fack. Not so noticeable when playing with normal fuzz settings, but turn the Sanity (Stab) pot down into oscillation mode and the extra frequencies running around the circuit become very apparent, totally changing the nature of the oscillations.

Next up is the Sanity bypass footswitch, giving you two completely different beasts with a single stomp of the foot. With it bypassed you're giving the circuit the full 9V of power it wants. Kick it and the Sanity pot comes into play, starving it just how you want and unleashing the beastly oscillations. For extra fun you could have this as a momentary switch - an Alpha DPDT will fit into two columns of the three-column pads - but you'll have to think about offsetting your footswitch holes when drilling to compensate.

The kit is supplied with vertical-mount pots which have round shafts, so you'll need set-screw fitting knobs.

Controls are: Girth (Fatness), Grunt (Gain), Thrust (Vol), Sanity (Stability), Gag (Gate), Choke (Comp)

Supplied with AC128/AC125 germanium transistors.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is available as an option with full kits, and will not take a battery. Knobs are not included.
