FuzzPup Sunny-T - cranked Sunn Model T tones

This is part of our FuzzPup range of circuits designed for 1590A builds. Please read the general build doc available here and ensure you're happy with what's involved. They're not especially difficult, but working in a confined space can be fiddly. Take heed.

Of course there's nothing stopping you using these PCBs for 'standard' builds. They're Direct Connect compatible.

A different PCB is available for 'standard' 1590B builds - see the related products listed below.

Who wouldn't like a Sunn Model T in their set-up? Bet you can't name one person. If you can, unfriend them immediately as they have no taste. No sir.

Well, truth is you're probably not getting one any time soon, so have yourself a little box of dirt to get you in the mood.

Now, we can't vouch for how close this gets to that elusive tone, but this power amp-based distorting doohicky sounds real good, and is a lot more versatile than you might expect from a one-knob-job (yes - you can have the kit with two knobs if you prefer - we just like the term 'one knob job'). Your guitar volume control is your friend here, and the Sunny-T will respond nicely to some twiddling, from low-gain dirty grit to all-out 'please turn it down!' speaker melt.

Keep it simple with volume control only, or add a a gain control to the circuit input, which will act just like your guitar volume.

If you want the PCB without parts there's a link for that at the bottom of the page.

Amazing fuzztortion 5 product stars
"Second Fuzzup build, no issues. I am leaning towards the alternative wiring scheme from the docs, but to each its own. This thing sounds AMAZING. I went with two knobs, but you can go with one and be happy (I have noticed GAIN knob stays at max all the time, like in the original). Sounds HUGE with power chords and rolling back the volume knob allows for really nice crunchy chords. I have noticed it does not love stacking with other ODs, but maybe thats just my setup and my not really knowing what I am doing. For the size, price, easy of build (besides being a bit fidly due to the spacing, this pcb is as easy as it gets) and SOUND this deserves a 5 and a spot on everyones heart and pedalboard" Pablo - 18 December 2020
Sunny Delight 5 product stars
"First time making a fuzzpup and I definitely recommend getting the pre-drilled enclosure - it was quite fiddly getting the whole thing to come together but knowing all the holes were in the right place made it very achievable! Sounds fantastic, and as promised has a lot of dynamic sensitivity. I went for the one-knob version and have no regrets. Downtune and dooooom!" Aleks - 10 February 2019
