Bazz Fuzz

First build? Look no further. This super little fuzz couldn't be easier to put together.

Solid, almost synth-like fuzz on tap across the volume range. Simple kit, and suited to experimentation and modification. Have a look at this page at Homewrecker.

Now supplied with two different transistors and a socket so you can swap and select to your taste.

The circuit has a board-mounted pot for minimal wiring and simple enclosure mounting.

Kit is available with a standard sized 1590B enclosure with battery, or a mini 1590A (36 x 90mm) enclosure with DC power only, though be aware that you'll be wiring in a very confined space.

Partial kit: PCB, all board-mounted components, pots.

Full kit: As above, plus footswitch and appropriate daughterboard/components for your selected bypass type (see Downloads section for details of those), jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, hook-up wire, LED.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is only available with full kits, and can take a battery if desired with footswitch positioned 22mm higher, closer to the controls, in a 1590B. 1590A will not take a battery. Knobs are not included.

Builds are only available with full kits including enclosures. Please choose appropriate knobs.

Germanium :)

Great Learning Curve

Awesome!
"This was my first pedal build, it seemed a good place to start... The sound is amazing. Real deep fuzz tone, and the first fuzz pedal I've actually enjoyed playing through. It has a glitchy edge, particularly when playing chords over single notes. It's a noisy pedal, and seems to pick up a Spanish language radio station from here outside NW London, but this is negated by using it in the loop of a noise gate. The kit itself has everything I needed, including a well-produced PCB. The instructions on this site were easy to follow, particularly with the photograph to help confirm my attempts to identify the resistor values. The holes drilled in the enclosure were in the perfect places - The switch and jacks are spaced enough for wiring them up, and there is just enough space for a 9V battery behind the 3PDT switch." "This is PROPER. A very nice fuzz (by which I mean very nasty) which works exceptionally well on bass but surprisingly also does the business on guitar.
