How about BK Butler Tube Driver™ like tones without the tube and associated mains power issues? Here you go. This kit is based on what we believe to be considered the best of the non-tube versions of this tonal titan.

This box has a massive range of dirt on tap. At lower gain settings it has a bit of dirt, but cleans up lovely with the guitar volume knocked back a touch. Crank the gain a bit and you've got a Marshall pushed to break up in the room. Higher settings will give you amazing sustain. The EQ will help you get the most from any amp you're pushing.

The original pedal uses the LM301AN IC, which is now obsolete and hard to come by. To be honest there's nothing particularly special about it, but we do have a small supply in stock. It sounds great with the OP07 in place, so that's also an option for you.

The kit is supplied with vertical-mount pots which have round shafts, so you'll need set-screw fitting knobs.

Partial kit: PCB, all board-mounted components (depending on selected options), pots.

Full kit: As above, plus footswitch and appropriate daughterboard/components for your selected bypass type (see Downloads section for details of those), jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, hook-up wire, LED.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is available as n option with full kits, and will not take a battery. Knobs are not included.

Builds are only available with full kits including enclosure and vertical-mount pots. Please choose appropriate knobs.

Simply amazing
"This is my 5th or 6th build. I am generally a digital guy (Line 6 Helix) but I really do enjoy the process of building the pedals. I am slowly building up a Gilmour analogue front end to run through the Helix fx loop. I found this pedal easy to be fair. I sat in the garden in the sun with a shandy and cracked on. 3 hrs build time. I check every resister with a multi meter and solder super slow. I have just A/Bd it against the Helix model which is dam accurate (check YouTube blind comparisons) and what can I say ? It s bang on the money. Obviously the pedal retains the analogue nature but it is absolutely spot on. If you where to blind test you would stuggle to work out which is which !" Matt - 11 July 2022
