Buffered Bypass - Klon Type
Y'all know what a buffer is by now, surely. Here's a handy footswitch daughterboard that adds a buffer before the effect you're adding it to.
Your signal goes straight into the buffer before hitting the switch, so it's always on. Buffer on the board with no extra pedalboard estate eaten up!
Signal is: JACK IN > BUFFER > FOOTSWITCH FOR CIRCUIT ENGAGED/BYPASSED > JACK OUT. Nice and simple.
You have the option to use a standard LED to indicate bypass, or if you want to get fancy you can use a bi-colour common anode LED with different colours to indicate Engaged/Bypass.
This will drop straight into our standard 1590B / no battery drilling pattern. If you want to add it to our 1590B / battery pattern you're out of luck - it'll be way too tight with the jacks, and the extra booty below the switch will stop you getting a battery in anyway. If you want to add it to any of those kits, ask for the drilling to be non-battery when ordering. It's all good.
Absolutely won't fit 1590A enclosures so don't ask.
Kit includes: PCB and board-mounted components only. Does NOT include the footswitch, ribbon cable or hook-up wire.
Difficulty: Easy
PCB size: 45 x 28mm
