FuzzPup Black Ash
This is part of our FuzzPup range of circuits designed for 1590A builds. They're not especially difficult, but working in a confined space can be fiddly. Take heed.
Of course there's nothing stopping you using these PCBs for 'standard' builds. They're Direct Connect compatible.
A different PCB is available for 'standard' 1590B builds - see the related products listed below.
NOTE: Images other than the main circuit are to illustrate general FuzzPup V2 build style
Really sweet silicon take on a Mk II Tone Bender. It was limited to 1500 units and is long gone, so here's your opportunity to recreate this fuzzy beast.
Not as harsh as you may expect with this lacking the warm fuzziness of germanium cans. The designer has managed to choose wisely and keep the fizz in check. The added 'Top' control allows you to roll off some of the high end to make it fit into any setup.
All the range you'd expect from a Mk II - light break-up to searing fuzz, and lots of clean up from the guitar volume. Nicely articulate. And all this with standard supply polarity - no messing around with positive ground.
Comes with a separate daughterboard to easily mount the pots to the main PCB.
Pots have round shafts so you'll need set-screw fitting knobs. Pot spacing is 18mm.
If you want the PCB without parts there's a link for that at the bottom of the page.
Partial kit: PCB, all board-mounted components, pots.
Full kit: As above, plus footswitch and daughterboard, jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, hook-up wire, LED.
Enclosure (pre-drilled) is available as an option with full kits, and will not take a battery. Knobs are not included.
Builds are only available with full kits including enclosures. Please choose appropriate knobs.
Supplied with 9mm pots (round shaft)
