Big Muffs. There's never enough. Here we have the much hyped 2025 edition '2', based on a rough 'back of a flyer' sketch from way back when.

Here we have two versions of '2'.

One is bare bones, down and dirty, based solely on the original sketch. It's noisy, bombastic, exhibits strange behaviours across the tone sweep and is generally an unruly beast. It's great!

The second is based on the full production model, which has more elegant op-amp biasing, more power filtering, and general tweaks to try to reign the whole thing in. It does. A bit. It's still quite noisy for a modern pedal, and the tone still acts strangely, but it may be more to your taste. Hey, we don't know you.

Applicable to both - Big Muff topology with op-amps utilised instead of transistors. It sounds muffy but... not entirely muffy. It's very bottom-heavy, doesn't clean up much with the sustain control, and the tone sweep is out there crazy. Bottom-of-the-sea bass at one end, screeching highs akin to a Fuzz War at the other, with a sweep that isn't entirely user friendly. That's why you don't see much tone twiddling on demo videos. You can find your sweet range but fine adjustments may prove difficult.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. You may not like what you hear. We love it. If you're into shonky noise-rock we'd say go for bare bones. If you fear the noise, go for production.
