People are weird.

We all love a new pedal, but sometimes the world goes crazy for something that ain't all that. We're not going to kid you - this is NOT an amazing long-lost piece of the Big Muff jigsaw. It is it's own thing though, and worth a punt if you can get along with it. NOTE - this is based on the original pedal schematic with some mods traced on the new production unit. It does not use the same op-amp biasing as the new version but it seems their efforts to tame the beast made no practical difference anyway.

Big Muff topology with op-amps utilised instead of transistors. It sounds muffy but... not entirely muffy. It's very bottom-heavy, doesn't clean up much with the sustain control, and the tone sweep is out there crazy. Bottom-of-the-sea bass at one end, screeching highs akin to a Fuzz War at the other, with a sweep that isn't entirely user friendly. That's why you don't see much tone twiddling on demo videos. You can find your sweet range but fine adjustments may prove difficult.

Let's talk about noise. There are strange gurglings going on if you aren't playing and the sustain is right up or the tone right down. It can be heard in demo vids, so whaddayagonnado? Again, you can find settings where everything is OK with the world, or you can embrace it and work with it.
