Octave Master

This is nasty in the best possible way. An analog, monophonic octaver that'll wreak havoc with your tone, whether you wield guitar, bass or synth.

Dirtying up your signal with a square wave fuzz, and splitting it into three additional octaves which you can balance with an adjustable level on each. Base signal, one octave down, two octaves down and a dirty octave up driven by a transformer, just like an octavia. Add in the filter control and you have a lot of experimenting to do.

This is NOT a precise, pristine octaver. It tracks well once you're over the 7th fret, but it is glitchy which is half the fun. Think of it as a more versatile MXR Blue Box™.

We didn't bother trying to squeeze this into a 1590B, so BB is where it's at.

The kit is supplied with vertical-mount pots which have round shafts, so you'll need set-screw fitting knobs.

Available with top or side mounted jacks/DC.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is available as an option with full kits, and will take a battery. Knobs are not included.

Smooth build for a fuzzed out, squared out, glitched out effect - I love it!
"(sorry, I submitted a review a minute ago but I hit "send" too soon!) I built Fuzzdog's Octave Master effects pedal and oh man it is fun! The build took about 90 minutes to solder the PCB, and a further 90 minutes to mount all the components in the case and wire them up. It's a large enclosure with lots of room (1590BB). As ever, Fuzzdog's instructions were clear, the supplied parts were all correct, and I had a wonderful time building it, and an even better time testing it! It's a thick, fat, huge sound with all 4 octaves kicked in. Fuzzed out, squared out, glitched out - I love it, and can't wait to wire it into my patch bay in my synth cupboard! Earthquaking
"As always, the kit arrived very quickly, went together very easily, and sounds like the real deal. Get some extra glitch with the bridge pickup or use the neck pickup for a smoother attack, and then let those suboctaves stutter out. Light fuzz and octave up are both great in their own right, and all 4 voices play well with resonant filters like wah and envelope filters, with the inbuilt filter taming some of the squarewave harshness if needed. Get the daughterboard and ribbon cable, you will save yourself a lot of time!" Aleks - 14 August 2020
