Ocean Engine Chorus

Six knobs of swooshy, sublime chorus.

PT2399-based chorus with a huge range of wobbles available.

Controls are:

  • Rate - kinda obvious.
  • Shape - alters the LFO waveform.
  • Depth - how much you want the LFO to hit the delay causing modulation.
  • Intensity - effect/dry signal balance.
  • Dimension - length of delay. Just a little... or metric shed loads.
  • Animate - change your subtle chorus into a world of madness.

So much fun in a little 1590B box.

You have the option of adding an always-on rate indicator LED separate to the bypass indicator LED. We've added pads so you can easily wire the bypass indicator to flash if you prefer, or don't having any flashing.

The board has been designed for 3mm resistors. Beware - these are tiny, fiddly and the codes are difficult to read, though the neat results are worth the effort. We can supply 6mm resistors if you're happy to stand them upright on the PCB.

Designed for vertical-pin, board mounted pots for a neat, simple build and secure enclosure mounting. These have round shafts, so take that into consideration when ordering knobs - you'll need set-screw fitting. Wiring up 'normal' pots with splined shafts is an option if you really want the hassle. We recommend 1900H knobs as the pot spacing is a tight 17.5mm.

Partial kit: PCB, all board-mounted components, pots.

Full kit: As above, plus footswitch and appropriate daughterboard/components for your selected bypass type (see Downloads section for details of those), jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, hook-up wire, LED.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is only available with full kits, and will not take a battery. Knobs are not included.

Builds are only available with full kits including enclosures. Please choose appropriate knobs.
