Ball Breaker

Based on the Mk I (black box) Blues Breaker™, with some tweaks.

Parts are included to add slightly more gain than the original, and for a better tone section with more bottom end. Or you can stick with the stock components.

The PCB has extra places for parts to make the King of boutique variations on a Blues Breaker™, and after much rummaging we've managed to source the magic diodes required for that build.

Designed for board mounted pots (round shafts), but you can wire up 'normal' splined shaft pots if you prefer.

Partial kit: PCB, all board-mounted components, pots.

Full kit: As above, plus footswitch and appropriate daughterboard/components for your selected bypass type (see Downloads section for details of those), jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, hook-up wire, LED.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is only available with full kits, and will take a battery. Knobs are not included.

Builds are only available with full kits including enclosures. Please choose appropriate knobs.

Difficulty: Medium

PCB size: 50 x 40mm

Great 5 product stars
"Owning the original BB MKI from the early 90s, I always wanted a second one to stack with it to obtain more gain with the same voicing. I also wanted a bit more gain from this pedal, but didn't want to touch the original. i have tried many pedals derivated from the BB like the VFE blues king, mooer blue crab. The mooer was the closest but impossible to mod. And then, I finally bought this kit, built it with the mods, and man, this sings with my Les paul in my DRRI!!! quite easy to build. only thing is that I think there's a mistake in the instruction: C is 220n and not 100n (as on original one, and on the kit picture...)."
