Punch In The Face

A beautiful box of bad-ass from the vaults of Tim Escobedo.

Taking it's cues from the Fuzz Face, it gets jiggy with a FET in Q2 and a 'Trauma' control to bring the crazy. It'll go from 'normal' soft fuzz tones to blown out at the turn of a knob.

The FET is available through-hole or SMT, so choose depending on your solder skills and desire to save a quid.

If you want the PCB without parts there's a link for that at the bottom of the page.

Partial kit: PCB, all board-mounted components, pots.

Full kit: As above, plus footswitch and appropriate daughterboard/components for your selected bypass type (see Downloads section for details of those), jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, hook-up wire, LED.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is available as an option with full kits, and will not take a battery. Knobs are not included.

Punch in the face is what you get! 5 product stars
"Bought this kit a while back and only got round to building it this week. This is the most versatile fuzz I've ever used! It does every fuzz sound in one pedal including a bit of octafuzz. The external bias is great for getting velcro/glitchy fuzz and theirs a sweet spot where it's almost bigmuff/tone bender like. This thing is so loud as well unity being about 10 o clock on the volume. The fuzz control has a good sweep and go from overdrive to full on Doom. Excellent pedal cannot fault it at all."
