"Got a couple of these to experiment with. And I must say, it is an excellent circuit! I did a few mods. I installed a matched pair of "Mustard" style film caps. And I made one of the diodes where you can switch it with a Germanium diode. And as always, I installed a socket for the IC. Always nice to be able to swap in something different if one wants. Amazing pcbs from the dogg as always
"I always iy just the pcbs now as I mass buy parts and this has been one of my favourite sounding builds. I changed a couple of values mainly regarding the 2nd OP amp stage. R6 instead of 51k I added wires to an on/on DBDT toggle with either 56k or a jumper (0ohm) and it really adds and extra beast control, if you enjoy the pain of making and already tight squeeze in a 1590a build more painful and can do your own drilling. I also changed c6 from 22nf to 15nf and now with a flick of a switch I get it either singing or screaming, just the control I like. For anyone interested in DIY pedal building.
