FuzzPup Maestro MFZ-1 Fuzz

This is part of our FuzzPup range of circuits designed for 1590A builds. Please read the general build doc available here and ensure you're happy with what's involved. They're not especially difficult, but working in a confined space can be fiddly. Take heed.

Of course there's nothing stopping you using these PCBs for 'standard' builds. They're Direct Connect compatible.

A different PCB is available for 'standard' 1590B builds - see the related products listed below.

Ooooh that's meaty. This op-amp based 70s beast throws out much more mighty fuzz than the small parts count would have you believe.

Supposedly favoured by Dan Auerbach on early Black Keys' recordings, but we're making no claims. It does sound... remarkably... like... maybe....

This little guy is now a firm favourite around FDQH.

Partial kit: PCB, all board-mounted components, pots.

Full kit: As above, plus footswitch and appropriate daughterboard/components for your selected bypass type (see Downloads section for details of those), jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, hook-up wire, LED.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is only available with full kits, and will not take a battery. Knobs are not included.

Builds are only available with full kits including enclosures. Please choose appropriate knobs.

You like fuzz? You'll like it! 5 product stars
"The MFZ1 is a great all around fuzz and it has his own character too. Thick but not muddy, super creamy with neck pickup. Single notes remain articulated. As a big fan of the Black Keys I should have built it before! Put a LM833 ic and it works great. Used the FuzzPup board but I built it in a bigger enclosure, great board anyway : )" Chuck - 03/10/2018
A wonderful different fuzz 5 product stars
"Built this out of curiosity and it has found it s place in my pedalboard. As described falls in a fuzz category but with a wonderful amount of clarity and detail. It s always wonderful to found sounds out of the usual scenario of commercial pedals, this one is not only easy to build but a must if looking for different fuzzes" NiLace - 20/04/2018
