FuzzPup EPic Boost

This is part of our FuzzPup range of circuits designed for 1590A builds. Please read the general build doc available here and ensure you're happy with what's involved. They're not especially difficult, but working in a confined space can be fiddly. Take heed.

Of course there's nothing stopping you using these PCBs for 'standard' builds. They're Direct Connect compatible.

Clone of a very neat little transparent boost, based on the pre-amp section of the EP-3 Echo Machine. The circuit is actually nothing like that pre-amp, but it sure does sound like it.

The circuit has Bright and Fat modes, selected with internal DIP switches as per the original. You could probably fit a couple of external toggle on there but you'll have to tackle that bit of drilling yourself.

Kit includes: PCB, all components, hook-up wire, 3PDT footswitch for true bypass, jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, LED, footswitch daughterboard and header pins. Enclosure (pre-drilled) is optional and will not take a battery. Does not include knob(s).

Supplied with 16mm pot (splined shaft)

"This is a great boost, but I use it as a preamp with the gain all the way down. Dip switches don't seem to make a huge difference to tone but I still absolutely love this pedal, it's got some great tones!" Benjamin - 09/10/2017
