FuzzPup Daddy Grace Drive/Distortion

This is part of our FuzzPup range of circuits designed for 1590A builds. Please read the general build doc available here and ensure you're happy with what's involved. They're not especially difficult, but working in a confined space can be fiddly. Take heed.

Of course there's nothing stopping you using these PCBs for 'standard' builds. They're Direct Connect compatible.

Our mini version of Run Off Groove's Grace and Big Daddy circuits - two excellent buffered power amp-based drives.

First up we have the Grace. Unlike some power amp-based designs that go all-out screaming distortion, this is tuned for a range from light break-up to vintage amp overdrive. The buffer gets rid of any loading of the guitar signal, adding sparkle and transparency. A great pick-responsive base for your dirty tone.

The Big Daddy follows the same basic lines but the input buffer is replaced with a FET gain stage, pushing the power amp stage into much heavier distortion. Just as responsive as the Grace, but the gain goes from medium break up to.... eleven!

Parts are supplied for both kits, so no need to decide right now.

Kit includes: PCB, all components, hook-up wire, 3PDT footswitch for true bypass, jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, LED, footswitch daughterboard and header pins. Enclosure (pre-drilled) is optional and will not take a battery. Does not include knob(s).
