MicroAmp

Small, simple op-amp clean boost. Where's the IC? It's hiding on the back of the board - that's one way to keep the PCB down to a 1590A-friendly size.

Board-mounted pot for minimal wiring and simple enclosure mounting.

Kit is available with a standard sized 1590B enclosure with battery, or a mini 1590A (36 x 90mm) enclosure with DC power only, though be aware that you'll be wiring in a very confined space.

Kit includes: PCB, all components, hook-up wire, 3PDT footswitch for true bypass, jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, LED. Enclosure (pre-drilled) is optional - 1590B will take a battery, 1590A will not. Does not include knobs.

Difficulty: Easy

PCB size: 30 x 22mm

Knobs required: 1

Enclosure: 1590B, 1590A

Direct-Connect compatible (4-way)

If you want the kit pre-built you must add the enclosure option below and select your knobs in the Components section. Check Specials for powder-coated enclosure availability.

Just what the Dr. Ordered 5 product stars
"Just a quick note to say great product!! I was talking to a friend about pedals and he told me this was the pedal he needed to finish out his board(Not sure you can really ever do that!!), so I ordered the kit and built it for him. Awesome sound, pushes the amp nicely when you need that extra bit of oomph!! Thanks Fuzzdog!" Theo - 27/05/2016
You want the boost? You can't handle the boost! 5 product stars
"After looking for a pedal to suit a beginner with literally no soldering experience and very little electronics knowledge I settled on this lovely Micro Amp kit! After recovering from many Oh my god it s all so small, how am I going to do this? My life is ruined, I m burning down the house and committing insurance fraud. moments, I realised that by carefully following the instructions and calming down that the build was not half as hard as I expected it to be! When it came to testing the board I plugged everything in half expecting nothing to happen, worrying about my soldering skills. But to my surprise, it worked! And boy does it work! It boosts the hell out of my signal making for a great, simple, clean change in volume and when pushed hard it even creates a nice overdrive sound. Now I just have to think of a name for my new pedal and paint it on the case, maybe something like Raging Aardvark attack boost Great kit, great pedal, happy days!" Matt - 21/11/2014
