This is part of our FuzzPup range of circuits designed for 1590A builds. Please read the general build doc available here and ensure you're happy with what's involved. They're not especially difficult, but working in a confined space can be fiddly. Take heed.
Of course there's nothing stopping you using these PCBs for 'standard' builds. They're Direct Connect compatible.
Clone of a famous purple Marshall-in-a-Box pedal. Dial up some crazy high-gain crank in a very small package.
Volume control does what it says, Frequency offers a good range of filtering to tune the tone just-so. The Gain control seems a bit of an afterthought on the original, but we've swapped out the linear pot for a reverse log which gives much better control. This is pretty full-on no matter where the gain is set though.
Warning - this is not a quiet circuit. Some noise may be present if playing gently or with the guitar volume wound back. 'Tis the nature of the beast. Who's going to play this quietly though? This is hard-rock/metal through and through.
It's a tight squeeze with three pots in there, but we've taken some of the hard work out of it for you. An optional daughterboard mounts the three pots straight to a PCB, which can be connected to the main board with a short length of 9-way ribbon cable. This will need to be cut and stripped, which is a little fiddly, but will result in a neater build than all those wires cluttering the place. See the pics to the left. Neat huh?
Kit includes: PCB, all components, hook-up wire, 3PDT footswitch for true bypass, jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, LED, footswitch daughterboard and header pins. Enclosure (pre-drilled) is optional and will not take a battery. Does not include knob(s). If you want the kit pre-built you MUST include the daughterboard and ribbon options.
